Summer Research Experiences Study
We are currently conducting a paid study about the experiences of students in summer research programs. If you are participating in Barnard's Summer Research Institute this summer (2022), you are eligible to be a part of this study. If you complete all the parts of the study, you will earn $35.
To sign up for the study, please schedule a time for a 15-min intake session over Zoom.
More about the study: This study involves one 15-min intake session over Zoom where we will explain the study to you and ask you to answer some questions about yourself. After that, the study involves filling out one very brief questionnaire at the end of every week of SRI and one exit survey at the end of SRI.
You never have to answer any questions you do not wish to answer, and all of your responses will remain completely confidential. Your individual responses will not be seen by anyone associated with SRI nor anyone in your research lab. No one outside of our research team will even know you participated in the study.
Learn about yourself: In addition to the money you would receive for participating in this study, you will also have the chance to learn a little about yourself. At the end of the study, we will send you a report of your own results. You will get to see your own responses in comparison to the average of all other study participants.
You will also be invited to a webinar session with the principal investigator of this study, Professor Katherine Thorson. During this time, she will share results of this study, and you will be able to ask any questions you have about the study and the results.
